25 september Sick - with much to doI am sick. Can you believe it? I know I can’t. I have a sore throat and feel like sleeping for a month. Tonight is the final walk through for our house and tomorrow is the closing. Should I be sick right now? NO! Yesterday I drank a whole gallon of orange juice, ate an orange, had chicken soup for dinner, ate Halls cough drops like they were candy, drank a TheraFlu Sore Throat and still have a sore throat.
Today I’ve had about 100 Halls cough drops already, drank a cup of Soothing Throat Tea that one of my co-workers gave to me, gargled with peroxide, and still have a sore throat. Do you think if I keep this up and get to bed early tonight I’ll be all better by tomorrow? Yeah…. I don’t think so either.
I’m calling off sick tomorrow (which is no longer a lie) and probably on Monday too so I’ll come back with a report for you guys next week.
Wish me luck, ~ FC 19 september Pittsburgh Penguins’ Town MeetingI had a BLAST last night at the Pens’ Town Meeting. I was SO happy that I got the tickets to go. They had a few important Pens’ managers speak and in between they did some videos with music to them. The crowd was in an uproar and then they brought the players out! The arena went wild! I was excited to see my favorite player, Evgeni Malkin, was there. The bad part is my camera’s batteries were dead. The good part was that my co-worker took pictures for me, YAY! The pictures aren’t the best but they’re better than no pictures at all. Also, I finally twisted My Prince’s arm into buying me my very own Malkin game jersey!!!!! I LOVE IT! He also surprised me with tickets to their first pre-season game tomorrow night! I am VERY excited!

18 september Anything Interesting Going On?Simply stated, “No.” You haven’t heard from me because there hasn’t been anything worth noting. I’m just counting down the days ‘til the closing on the house (8 days). Here are a few bulleted tidbits from my week:
q I’ve been reading A LOT and listening to books on audio A LOT!
q One of the books on audio I listened to was “The Bachelor”. I really enjoyed this book mainly because there was an “impossible” romantic situation and then they over came the impossible and lived happily ever after. Plus, there were other side stories that made it interesting as well.
q I just finished reading “The Last Summer (Of You & Me)”. This story was a bit slow to begin with but I related to it because growing up I used to go to the beach with my family for two weeks every year. You make friends who return every year as well and get to know the “locals”. It was a good but sad read. I recommend it.
q Now I’m listening to “The Nanny Diaries” on audio and so far am not impressed. I hope it picks up because it just isn’t capturing me right now. I was excited about this especially because of it being made into a movie but we’ll see what happens.
q I’m also reading “Good In Bed”. It’s pretty funny but I’ve just started it and can’t say too much about it just yet. But I can completely relate to the main character Cannie! If you read this one you’ll be taking a small glimpse into my life, LOL.
q I have a newfound obsession with Criss Angel. Magic tricks aside, that guy is HOT! (hehe)
q Speaking of obsessions with rich men, tonight I will be attending a special VIP gathering where I’m hoping to meet THIS obsession of mine. If you remember I completely drool over him. He’s SO much hotter in person! *drool* Hopefully he’ll bring his friends too. So, that should be fun.

~ FC 12 september This WeekThis week has been uneventful. To be honest I wasn’t even going to post anything but I felt compelled to. So, here are some bullets:
q My Mom and I have walked every night after dinner. On Wednesday night we walked three miles total. This is a huge accomplishment for my Mom. I guess it is for me too because I don’t usually go that far by myself.
q Tomorrow my Mom and the Evil Step-Father are having a little gathering for my Evil Step-Sister’s birthday. I’m definitely not looking forward to it. I told My Prince that we’d make up an excuse of why we had to leave early. We’ll go, we’ll eat, and we’ll leave. My biggest complaint is that my Evil Step-Father’s brother will be there and I loathe him with every particle of my being. Even more so than my Evil Step-Father. So, yeah… it should be fun <~sarcasm.
q I woke up with a sore throat today and an achy ear. I hope I’m not getting sick, yuck!
q Work has picked up for me a bit. I’m not too busy but not bored, which is always a good thing.
q My biggest news is that Stephanie Meyer is not going to publish Midnight Sun now that some idiot decided to leak the draft out to the Internet. I am devastated! She posted the draft on her website so you can go read it but it’s only 260 some odd pages long. It’s great for a draft and makes me long for the finished product. I was really looking forward to this book coming out. Why do people have to spoil it for all of us?
It’s Friday…. lets start the weekend!

 I will be with My Prince again......All is as it should be.
 ~ FC 04 september Feeling RestlessWith everything going on right now you would think I would be glad for a break. You would think that I’d be thanking my lucky stars that things aren’t crazy at work at the moment and that everything is smooth sailing as far as the house goes. But instead I’m feeling restless. I feel like I need to do something different. I feel like I need to take up a new hobby or start up my own business.
Plus, there is something private going on between My Prince and I that I cannot blog about because 1. I haven’t even openly talked to him about it and 2. it would embarrass me to no end. This is bothering me a lot more than I know how to handle. It’s driving me crazy because it’s a topic that I can’t talk to anyone about for help or advice. The reason why I haven’t talked to My Prince about it yet is because I don’t know how to do it. No, I take that back. I know how to I’m just 99.9% sure of what he will say and I’ll be left feeling the same feelings and trying to work through it on my own. Don’t get the wrong idea about My Prince he won’t just pay lip service to me or brush me off. It would be quite different than that. It’s just me and my thoughts that would be at odds.
I guess I’m just feeling stuck all around. I’m in limbo with my living situation and it’s frustrating, I’m eager to live with My Prince but have to wait until the 26th if not longer, and I guess I’m just feeling really unsettled right now. It doesn’t help that work is incredibly slow right now. I couldn’t tell you how many times the thought of calling off sick have entered my head.
Plus, on top of everything, I’m feeling lonely. Go figure.
~ FC 03 september Living With MomI survived the first night at my Mom’s house. Tonight will be a bigger ordeal because not everyone will be sleeping upon my arrival like last night, lol.
Actually, last night and this morning were rather nice. My Mom waited up for me last night even though I told her not to and helped me carry my stuff inside. She was so excited it was adorable! Plus, the room that she made up for me looks GREAT! She painted the room and added a few small things to give it that “homey “feel to it. I was pleasantly surprised because this room looked like a walk in closet the last time I saw it. It’s still small but now it just looks quaint.
After I unloaded the car I then went for a jog, even though it was already going on 10:00pm and my Mom thought I was crazy. I tried to jog the route my Mom walks daily and let me just tell you… I didn’t make it! LOL I jogged down one street, turned down a huge hill and jogged down it, jogged down a straight flat street, and then began my assent up the huge hill and jogged about ¼ of the way, then walked another ¼ and finished the last ¼ by jogging. Not too bad overall, I would say. Then once I got to the top of the hill I jogged down the flat street that my Mom lives on. Once I reached the end of her street I walked back to her house for my “cool down”. I was/am very proud of myself. With the lateness of the hour and the crazy look I received from my Mom normally that would have been enough of an excuse for me to back out. But not last night! Not to mention that I ate a rather large dinner so it was very much needed. But I simply couldn’t resist the seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake dessert that Olive Garden brought back for Fall. I… LOVE…. THIS… DESSERT!
It’s one of the things that make me look forward to Fall. LOL Another puzzle piece as to why I’m the “Fat Chick”.
After my jog my Mom helped me figure out which bus I needed to catch to get to work. Then I put my Mom to bed because it was WAY past her bedtime. Allow me to explain that my Mom isn’t so old that she needs to go to bed at 5:00. It’s just that she wakes up at 3am every morning and wakes up the Evil Step-Father for work and then she goes back to bed for about 30mins. then she gets up and gets ready for work. So, they are usually in bed by 8ish or 9ish because of their early hours and I didn’t get to her house until 9:30 last night. Anyway, I digress; I put my Mom to bed and then began to get my stuff ready for this morning. Then finally I climbed into bed and read a little before going to sleep.
This morning my alarm went off and my Mom greeted me shortly after all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Let me just say that I am not a morning person but it was nice seeing her in the morning again. It sort of made me miss the days when she would wake me up to get ready for school. She was so excited that I was there that she insisted that we eat breakfast together. I don’t normally eat breakfast until I get to work because I take a later lunch. But she was just too darned cute that I made myself a bowl of cereal and ate with her. I love my Mom.
Then she talked me into riding into work with her and catching a bus from her work into the city. She said she just thought it would be nice riding into work with someone every morning. Well, we tried it and I was late for work. I missed the earlier bus that would have gotten me to work on time. But it was worth it to make my Mom happy.
Now tonight I will be taking the bus back to my Mom’s house. She very excitedly announced to me this morning that we would be having BBQ chicken for dinner. She’s just too cute. You had to be there to get it. LOL I’ll probably be the last one home tonight and after I eat dinner my Mom and I have plans to go for a walk together. I’m looking forward to that.
On the plus side my Evil Step-Sister will not be there this week so all I have to do is put up with the Evil Step-Father. But at least I’ll be getting some quality time with my Mom.
The only down side to all of this is I miss My Prince desperately! I was really getting used to seeing him every night after work and cozying up to him at night to go to sleep. But, I’ll have it again soon.
~ FC 02 september Long Weekend Round UpI have the “back to work blues” today and hate it! I just need this workday to be over so I can go and cozy up to My Prince. Only, tonight I’ll be limited on “cozy time” with My Prince. Tonight I’m hauling all of my stuff over to my Mom’s house so I can crash there for this week and make her happy. I don’t want to go and The Royal Family has agreed to let me stay with them but I decided to live half at My Prince’s house and half at my Mom’s since my Mom was so excited about me staying with her and put a lot of work into the room I’ll be staying in. But in making my Mom happy I’m going to be making myself miserable. I don’t like my Evil Step-Father and really don’t like my Evil Step-Sister, but I LOVE my Mom so away I go. I guess this is putting me in a blue mood as well. I love living with My Prince and the Royal Parents so I’m going to be missing them as well.
But this post is supposed to be about my long weekend, so here it goes. You get it in bullets!
q Friday night I gathered all of the materials we needed for dinner. Dinner was BBQ chicken with a yummy sauce, corn on the cob, and red baked potatoes. YUM! Dinner was great and the rest of Friday we just hung out at My Prince’s house chattin’ it up. But I also jogged! I’ve been trying to get into the habit of jogging every day.
q Saturday was a pretty busy but productive day for both of us. While My Prince did his stuff I went off on my own to finish a few things for myself. I went to my storage shed and went looking for a few items that I knew were there but I needed. Then I went and vacuumed out my car, took it through the car wash, and then had the oil changed. I was happy because I’ve been neglecting my car lately. Then in the afternoon My Prince and I made lunch at his house and enjoyed a relaxing lunch on his back porch and enjoyed the beautiful day. Then it was back to work again! I took My Prince with me to the storage shed and he helped me look for a stubborn thing that I couldn’t find and sure enough he found it! I was thrilled it was very important that I found that item. Then we went to the mall and I bought two new pairs of shoes!!! YAY! I’ve needed new shoes for a while now. I bought these and got them in red accents as well!
Which is a miracle because I’m so picky about my sneakers it’s crazy. We walked into Lady Foot Locker, I tried on the first pair I liked, and then I walked out with two pairs of them! THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED!!! Plus, they let me use the coupon I had! WOOT!
Then we went back to My Prince’s house and grabbed a quick dinner and then I proceeded to pack up the Queen’s van that we were using for the flea market the following day. After that I changed my clothes and went jogging, YAY FOR ME! I then went back to my car and cleaned the interior of dust and wiped down all of my windows with glass cleaner. My car is happy now! lol After all of that I went took a shower and finally climbed into bed.
q We then woke up at 4:00 am (ick!) and went out to meet My Prince’s Aunt so we could all go set up to sell our crap at the Flea Market. Needless to say it was a complete waste of time. We made $30 in six hours and it cost us 20$ just to set up. So in reality we made $10. But we had fun hanging out with his Aunt. We then took his Aunt out to lunch with us and to Roomful Express where My Prince and I finally agreed on a living room set! This was just short of a miracle! We couldn’t agree on anything but we finally found one we both loved. I cannot express the joy over finally coming to an agreement on furniture! It’s super comfy too! After that we dropped his Aunt off at home and headed back to his house. The rest of the day we just hung out we were too tired to do anything else.
q On Monday we went to my Dad’s house for his cookout. It was nice overall but my Dad talked to my sister and I about something that upset me. I don’t feel like going into detail about it but I’m just angry with him for what he said and how he said it. But, whatever….
After that we went back to My Prince’s house and rode around the King’s new Jeep. It was pretty nice. While we were out we stopped at the grocery store for a few things and went back to his house. That was pretty much it then.
